Movie premiere in Kumasi is gradually gaining grounds after may moviemakers were counseled to inculcate the habit.
Few Kumawood movies in the past months have hit the cinemas for premiere with many producers planning to follow the trend in the coming days.
One movie, which is next on the ladder of Kumawood movies to be premiered, is ‘Nti M’aseda Nie’. Bill Asamoah who featured in the movie has promised to spend on some lucky fans who will be at the premiere in Kumasi.
The Kumawood darling boy in an interview with KMJ on Hitz FM in Accra said he plans to buy tickets for the first couple who show up at the premiere. Not just that, he also pledged to give them other gifts to make them feel comfortable at the event.
According to Mr. Asamoah, the cost of his giveaways is solely on him but not from the coffers of the producer. He added “that is my own small way of making sure that movie premiere becomes successful in our region”
The Ce-Boat Ventures produced movie is slated to be premiered at the Miklin Hotel in Kumasi on July 23. Aside Bill Asamoah, ‘Nti M’aseda Nie’ features actors like Kwadwo Nkansah Liwin, Vivian Jill Lawrence, Agya Koo, Louisa Adinkrah Frimpong and Fanny Fay Akaminko and many others.
The movie tells the story of Adobea (Vivian Jill Lawrence) who had never set eyes on her mother and was raised by her father, Agya Wusu (AGYA KOO). Adobea falls in love with Ken (Bill Asamoah) who is based in the United Kingdom via Facebook.
Adobea’s father warns her about her blindly found lover but she ignores her father and decides to wait for Ken till he returns to the country and fulfill his promise of marrying her. Ken eventually returns to the Ghana and a series of unexpected events takes place after his arrival.
