Mr. Eazi
On May 8 this year, Nigerian artiste Wizkid announced during a performance at the Ghana Music Awards that he had signed Efya, R2Bees, and Mr. Eazi to his StarBoy WorldWide Records.
No details of the deal was mentioned, neither by the ‘Ojuelegba’ artiste or the acts other than Pae Dae, a member of R2Bees being the President of the imprint.
Mr. Eazi, who celebrated his birthday yesterday spoke to Vanessa Gyan and Sammy Forson on Live FM‘s Drive Time show, Route919, and made some revelations.
“StarBoy WorldWide is an umbrella, and then there is a different subsidiary. Everyone is leveraging on each other’s talents and access. It’s not a tied down deal.”
In the past few months, Wizkid has worked with the likes of Drake, Wale, Tinie Tempeh, Skepta and Chris Brown. Collaborations with Award-winning producer Swizz Beatz, Rihanna and Diplo is said to be in the works.
