Most artists in Ghana have worked tirelessly around the clock to bring out some good music for music lovers in and outside Ghana. Because of the passion and effort they put into making of these good music,they tend to be disappointed when their songs are either not nominated for award shows or those songs do not win any award under the year in review.
Fans of those artists get very disappointed too since their favorite songs haven’t been able to bag any award,where in actual fact it should. Here are some 5 hit songs that never bagged the Vodafone most popular song of the year award in the VGMAs.
1: Bye Bye- Asem ft Kwabena Kwabena This song really made waves all over the country,especially within the year in review. It was nominated alongside Walahi(Life) which beat all other songs in that particular category.
2: Telemo- Gasmilla ft Capaster One of the very popular songs in the country which really dominated in 2015. It was the song everyone expected to hear at any event,party or ceremony. Most people thought it could win the most popular song of the year award because of the waves the song made. The artiste also did perform at almost every show in the country during that year in review. One would say it was the hottest song of the moment but then,it couldn’t get the award most people think it would have got.
3:Ekiki Me- Wisa Greid This dude just popped into the music scene with this danceable tune. It was one song everyone could relate to,which made it really popular. The title itself is one funny term so just imagine how it became a household song. It didn’t also win the most popular song under the year in review,which made most of his fans very furious. They thought he actually deserved it.
4: Go Higher- Stonebwoy This song actually did win some awards, but most people were disappointed it couldn’t bag the most popular song of the year award. It was aslo one of the very popular songs within that particular tear in review. The song wasn’t just enjoyable but very inspirational too. We wish to be fed with more of such songs in the future.
5: Pooley- Guru This song also made lots of waves within 2014 but it just didn’t win any award. Guru was very disappointed as he thought he really worked hard and deserved that award. Most people thought the song didn’t win in that category because the title had a negative impact on it’s winning. Anyway,it’s just one of those things,and Guru as an artist,is known for playing with words and giving funny titles to his songs.
