Sensational gospel minister Evangelist Edward Akwasi Boateng the accordion specialist, who believes in the policy of releasing songs within four year intervals has revealed the ideal behind his life changing timeless song ‘’Adea mepe d’awanim’’.

Speaking in an interview with Kofi Asante on A1 Radio, the veteran gospel minister said prior to his plans in getting married, his then fiancée was found pregnant resulting in his suspension from the church by the elders in council.

The man behind notable songs like ‘Nokware asem’, ‘Abo wo din’ and many other hits narrated sorrowfully after he got married to a different woman within a period of four years, child bearing became a major problem which many suggested was the consequence of his sinful act years ago with the pregnancy allegation.

But the inspirational gospel singer said, he knew his redeemer lives and he would be comforted.’’

Adea mepe’’ was always my prayer point with God and it got to a point I felt it should be in a form of a song to let my accusers know that God is not asleep’’ he said.

Edward Boateng explained further the lady was later found to have been impregnated by a certain manager and he was vindicated.

Edward Boateng currently has four children.
