Sarkodie hits 1 million followers on Twitter

Social media has had a tremendous impact on entertainment business here in Ghana. It has increased awareness and visibility of many brands and more.

Here in Ghana, many musicians are now pushing past traditional media to build a tremendous fanbase and extend awareness of their brands through social media.

Well, multiple award-winning hiphop act, Michael Owusu-Addo, Sarkodie becomes the first Ghanaian musician to reach 1 million followers on micro-blogging site, Twitter.

On celebrating this feat, the RNS hitmaker took to his Twitter handle and his tweet read,”Big ups SarkNation…1Mill….Will always appreciate y’all.”
