Ayo Makun, a multi-award winning Nigerian actor and comedian, has disclosed that he is interested in politics.
When he was asked during an interview if he would campaign to get the people to vote for him, he replied that he looks forward to a political appointment and not necessarily contesting or going to the people to persuade them to vote for him.

In 2014 Nollywood star and director Desmond Elliot was sworn into office at the Lagos State House of Assembly as a member representing Surulere 01 Constituency.
Veteran actress Kate Henshaw, was made Special Adviser, Liaison, Lagos to Cross River state In December 2015
Dayo Adeneye lost at the primaries but a year later he was appointed as the Commissioner for Information & Strategy in Ogun state.
In February 2016, superstar actress Ini Edo was appointed Special Adviser on Tourism to the Akwa Ibom State Governor Udom Gabriel Emmanuel.
Also in February 2016 popular Yoruba actor Femi Adebayo was made the Special Adviser to the Governor of Kwara State, Abdulfatah Ahmed on Arts, Culture and Tourism.
And this year specifically November 6, popular Nigerian comedian, Basket mouth declared that he will run for the 2019 General Elections if US Republican candidate, Donald Trump wins presidency.
