Gospel music’s great; Minister Ike of ‘Onyame Gya’fame has added his voice to most music enthusiasts who believe that most of the artistes who earned nominations at this years Vodafone Ghana Music Awards(VGMAs) do not deserve their respective nominations.

According to the organizers of the scheme, over 700 entries in total came in spread across the various categories and throughout the month of February, the board sat to debate and discuss all categories in order to ensure that deserving songs and artistes as stipulated by the rules of the scheme earn their slots in the various categories.

But In a telephone conversation from his residence in Canada, Minister Ike, angrily told razzonline.com that, considering the number of people on the the board, he believes that they can never use less than one month to scrutinize all the 700 entries submitted:

“This year’s nomination process is the worst ever in the history of the scheme… every year the board makes mistakes…but this year’s own is unbelievable..see, it’s a lie that they sat and scrutinized all the submitted entries…where is the prove? Most of the board members are always busy…They should come out and tell us how they got Medikal and Mzvee in the Artiste of the year category.” Minister Ike angrily opined.

Minister Ike advised comprehensively that, the board must be dissolved in order to assign new members.
