Rapper Armstrong Affum, popularly known by the stage name Dadie Opanka, has cut his afro hairstyle which he had been wearing for some years.

According to the Tema-based musician, his new hairstyle was influenced by his mother and followers (fans).

“Keeping afro was a lot of work and I wanted to change my looks so I cut it. As a musician, you must also give your fans what they want. I am feeling myself within my new hairstyle,” he disclosed in an interview with Daily Heritage.

“Though my fans are the reason I am a household name in Ghana when it comes to freestyle, I think as a young man, I must also listen to my mother when she says something.”

The rapper quoted Ephesian 6: 1-3, which states that, “Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. Honour your father and mother, which is the first commandment with a promise, so that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on earth”, and added that “my mother knows what is good for me.”

Opanka’s new look will make you wonder why he kept long in cutting his afro hairstyle. He looks handsome.
