Housewife Lynched

A housewife, Daamata Mahamadu, 40, of Worizie, a suburb of Tamale was on Tuesday night lynched by an angry mob who accused her of causing the death of her husband's nephew, Moro Mahamadu,16.

The body was dragged and left at a nearby dump until the following day when it was picked by the police and deposited at the Tamale Regional Hospital Mortuary.

The mob which did not seem satisfied on May25 followed up and burnt down house number A/94 where the deceased and her husband lived with othertenants, leading to the destruction of the building and loss of property worth millions of cedis.
