Wizkid returns to 'inner- Ghanaian' with new single

Starboy frontman Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun (better known in showbiz as Wizkid) taps into his inner- Ghanaian yet again as he dispatches this new joint titled “Odoo”.

Meaning “Love” in Twi, it once again reaffirms the singer’s longstanding affinity with the Gold Coast, as it follows such gestures as openly declaring his preference of Jollof from these parts over his native Nigeria, and ample reference of Ghanaian culture in the Afropop single “Azonto”.

“Odoo” comes off the heels of “Medicine”, also produced by Masterkraft.

Recipient of 44 awards so far ( two BET Awards, three Billboard Music Awards, two iHeartRadio Music Awards, one MTV Europe Music Awards, four MTV Africa Music Awards, two SoundCity MVP Awards, one African Pride Award, two MOBO Awards etc, Wizkid is author of three solo projects so far.

His latest: Sounds From the Other Side was released on July 14 to global reception. It was was preceded by three singles: “Daddy Yo” featuring Efya, “Sweet Love”, and “Come Closer” featuring Drake.
