Dada KD is out with a new single,
Contemporary highlife musician Dada KD says most of his colleagues have shunned away from collaborating with him.
Though he couldn’t tell the reason why, he said it may be because “it is not the right time”.
Speaking on 3FM’s Sunrise on Friday, the ‘Somu Gye’ hitmaker said he did not have formal training in music but he is proud of what he has achieved.
He said his live performance skills cannot be underestimated when it comes to music in Ghana, taking a swipe at some of his fellow musicians who cannot sing their own songs on stage.
“I am a legend and I need to be celebrated.”
Born Dada Kwaku Duah, the highlife artiste is out with a new song titled ‘M3few’, which features Kurl Songx.
“This song is my first collaboration ever,” he declared. He said the song will prepare the grounds for the launch of a double album.
The father of five advised fellow musicians to continue working hard, saying: “You think you can have a hit. You can be there but how will you maintain your hit and continue to be there.”
