Movie personality, Yvonne Nelson has disputed claims that she is a sympathizer of the ruling NPP government.
The actress’ comment comes after people tagged her as a die-hard NPP member following her famous “Yaa Asantewaa” demonstration against the previous NDC government over serious power rationing across the country popularly termed “Dumsor”.
Speaking on the matter, in an interview on Accra-based OKAY FM Thursday morning, she explained that she staged that demonstration out of love for her country and nothing more.
She added that, she does not have any quarrel with any politician; insisting that she has special relationships with most politicians that people don’t know about.
“I have love for everybody. I am a patriotic Ghanaian and I love my country. I love both the NPP and the NDC.
“Abeiku, John Dumelo is an NDC member, but he’s my brother. I’m a Ghanaian, and I love Ghana,” she said.
