A house belonging to Ghana international Mubarak Wakaso may be demolished if a protracted land dispute is not resolved immediately.

The house located at the Mempeasem area of East Legon in Accra could be demolished as part of a looming demolition exercise in the vicinity.

Wakaso's house is said to be among many others which will likely be affected by the mass demolition exercise pending legal resolution.

One Samuel Darko is reportedly laying claim to the lands with what looks like concrete documents backing his claim.

According to MyNewsGh.com, Darko chronicles the ownership of the land in the mid 70s to date.

Mr Darko cited the era when the land was released for the construction of the Accra Training College in 1974 before its subsequent return due to compensation discrepancies.

East Legon is one of the most beautiful and affluent suburbs in Ghana. It is home very rich tenants including politicians, top businessmen, professional footballers, among others.

Wakaso who currently plays for Deportivo Alaves is one of the many superstars living in the area. His house in question was opened somewhere in 2015 with the National Chief Imam, Osman Nuhu Sharabutu being among those present.
