Music has nothing to do with language – Sherifa Gunu

Ghanaian Soul Musician , Sherifa Gunu has said that the language of her music has no effect on the music.

Sherifa is of the assertion that music is a universal form of communication and language shouldn’t be a barrier .

According to her , one does

not necessarily have to understand the language but what is very pivotal is how one connects to the song .

“Music has no language barrier. Music is a spirit. It’s something that goes out from someone to you. Whether you understand the language or not you feel it. Music has nothing to do with language. Music is universal.”

Sherifa Gunu called on DJs to play her songs despite the language difference.

She is currently out with a new banger titled ‘ Kelewele’.
