A chair has been moved!
Life can be likened to the game of ‘Musical Chairs’ along the journey of life the music may be paused and changed every now and then, people will be forced to sit others to exit and never return again. Your turn may come too soon or late but you must be determined to dance to that music in your heart – your calling and purpose in life.
The stops and sits may be temporary challenges and breaks, that shouldn’t deter you or cause you to stop pursuing your dreams, there would be new songs to dance to; new opportunities to pursue, new goals to set, new dreams to dream.
In all of that, never let go of that music in your heart. Dance to its tune for you may not know when the Savior would finally pull a chair and you may be out of the race. Don’t be caught unawares living life without passion and purpose, make every movement count.
Run with endurance the race set before you. Keep your eyes on the Prize and pay the price by working towards it’s realization. Press on towards the goal as Apostle Paul stated in the Bible (Philippians 3:12-14 NKJV)
“Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me. Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.”
You will have noticed that from his statement there are a number of things he had to do:
i. He acknowledged his presence state and didn’t pretend or deny that he had what he wanted. [Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected;]. It’s very important that we have an honest assessment of ourselves on the journey of pursuing our dreams regularly, so we don’t go off track. Not denying our shortcoming and the areas we need to work harder on.
ii. He kept pushing with his end goal/vision in mind. [but I press on, that I may lay hold..]. the bigger picture and end vision serves an inspiration to soldier on.
iii. He focused on his goal/ dream. [but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead]. He didn’t do too many things, he focused “one thing” at a time. Focus on your dreams don’t give attention to the naysayers and distractors.
I believe that If we keep to our tracks and give our best we will eventually hit the target – get the prize. So, go make it happen! The best is yours! Your dreams will not die!
