Wearing short skirt leads to rape is the most stupid thing I learnt in School – Deborah Vanessa

In our Religious and Moral Education and Life Skills classes, we were taught that wearing short dresses as a lady was not morally upright.

We were taught to dress decently in order to be seen as people with morals.

But Deborah Vanessa believes otherwise.

To her, it is not wise to teach young girls that wearing a short skirt is not morally upright and that it will lead to rape.

She noted that schools should stop using the archaic syllabus and other reference sources such as the Bible to teach children because it corrupts the brain.

She said, “the most stupid thing I learnt while schooling in Ghana was the fact that we should not wear short skirts because it may lead to rape”.
