Gospel musician, Evangelist Diana Asamoah has revealed that it will only be on the intervention of God she will sing for the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) but until then, she is glued to the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), MyNewsGh.com reports.

The musician who has for years been singing for the elephant family even on their campaign platforms, reveals that is upon God’s directive she does that and if she is directed in the same vein to switch and sing for the NDC, she cannot begrudge him (God).

She rebuffed claims she is a politician stating categorically that she is neither NPP nor NDC but a right-thinking Ghanaian only embarking on evangelism as a Minister of God through songs ministration.

“I don’t belong to any political party, I’m a Ghanaian,” she said.

She added “God directs every move I make. If they [NDC] call me and God directs me to honour it, I will.”

There were reports she has benefitted a plush mansion and a luxurious car from the NPP government since it came into power but she used the opportunity to debunk such claims stating that whatever she is enjoying is through the toil of her hard work.

“I have only one car…I got my car through the grace of God. He [Akufo-Addo] never bought my car for me. My producer [Anane Frimpong] and I came together to buy the car. It was bought through the proceeds of my evangelism and singing,” she revealed.
