Ghanaian singer, Irene Logan, incurred the wrath of Twitter users earlier today when she tweeted that Ghanaians are xenophobic towards Nigerians and Liberians living in Ghana.

Irene Logan who originally hails from Liberia but has lived in Ghana for many years made this uncomfortable statement on her Twitter handle.

According to her "the depth of xenophobia in Ghana runs very deep". This tweet didn’t go down well with her followers some of whom are Ghanaians and Liberians.

“The depth of xenophobia in Ghana towards other African citizens runs very deep! Especially towards #Nigerians and #Liberians”

Many condemned the ‘Run Away’ hitmaker for such a reckless tweet especially looking at how fragile such issues are and the potential to cause trouble between Ghanaians and citizens from these countries who live peacefully here.
