Award winning Dancehall musician, Epixode, speaks about the biggest collaboration Ghana has ever witnessed, between American superstar Beyonce and the most talked about Dancehall King, Shatta Wale.
Early last week Beyonce unveiled the artwork for her just-released "The Lion King" album which according to her is a gift for the African market She featured almost all the top musicians in Africa and representing Ghana was Shatta Wale.
Many people seemed surprise to see Shatta Wale’s name on Beyonce's album and here we are, the song titled "Already" is one that Ghana can boast of and Shatta Wale brought this achievement home.
Epixode, at the launch of the Ghana Music Awards UK, congratulated Shatta Wale and added that he is the man of the season, so people should keep their opinions to themselves.
“Forget everybody, Wale is the man of the season. You get what I mean and I’m proud of Shatta Wale, I’m proud that I’m a dancehall artiste, I’m proud that I’m a Ghanaian artiste, I’m proud that I come from Ghana.
"Because this is big for Ghana and looking at it, he is the only Ghanaian artiste on there. So big up SM for life, big up all the SM for life fans, for life, is for life” he added.
Beyonce’s collaboration with Shatta Wale titled ‘Already’ has received mixed reactions since its release over the weekend.
Epixode further told host DJ Nyaami on SVTV Africa that, he is also looking forward to featuring some international acts like Kenyan afro-pop band, Sauti Sol and Tanzanian recording artist Diamond Platnumz.
Epixode is currently promoting his new smash hit single dubbed ‘Agbelemli’ and will be dropping the visuals very soon.
