Dreadlocked music duo, Dope Nation have disclosed on Citi TV’s ‘Breakfast Daily’ that they influenced their mum to wear dreadlocks too.
According to the twins, it took a while for their parents to accept them for how they hand rebranded for showbiz.
When the host, Dziffa asked how their father finally bought into the idea of having artistes as sons, B2 replied: “there are a lot of factors that made him just like hell it’s okay.”
“I did my dreads before my brother. I did mine 6 months then he did his but then we hadn’t seen our mom like 6 months and she was like I want you people to come to the house, come and eat something. I want to see something so, we were like I know say she wan see the thing,” he narrated.
“But then it hadn’t grown that long so we were wearing our caps,” he continued.
He further noted that upon seeing the dreadlocks and knowing the inspirations behind it, their mother also decided to grow some.
“To cut a long story short, our mum has dreads now,” he concluded.
