Award-winning musician, Stella Aba Seal’s comment that polygamy is something that is actually needed in marriages now is still receiving a lot of mixed reactions from Ghanaians.

While outspoken Ghanaian marriage counselor and man of God, Cyril George Carstensen Lutterodt is all for such marriages, the head pastor of Christ Ambassadors Church in Kumasi, Rev Seth Acquah Harrison has spoken against it vehemently.

Speaking with Zionfelix on Radio Universe’s ‘Brunch2Lunch’ show, Rev Harrison stated that the bible is against polygamy entirely.

He quoted Genesis Chapter 2:24 which reads “That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is united to his wife, and they become one flesh” and Titus 1:6 which also read “. . . above reproach, the husband of one wife, and his children are believers and not open to the charge of debauchery or insubordination” to support his stance.

When Zionfelix raised the case of David as an example that has been used by the people who support polygamy, he stated that it was possible because David was a king and not a man of God.

Rev Seth Acquah Harrison in his ending remarks expressed some disappointment in the celebrated gospel artiste and advised her to teach the youth the things she preaches in her songs and not otherwise.
