Gospel singer Empress Gifty Adorye popularly known as Empress One has urged her colleague musicians to stop underappreciating the efforts of Disc Jockeys.
According to the artiste, DJs work tirelessly to promote the songs of musicians yet the presenters get all the credit and money, leaving the DJs with nothing.
Expressing her frustrations on Instagram, the musician said; "matters concerning DJs have been paramount to my heart since the beginning of the year."
"Only few of them have been successful in their career so far yet they stay awake late in the night to play music for their listners talk less of their enormous efforts during the day yet they get nothing for working so hard." The musician bemoaned.
The ‘Aseda’ hitmaker suggested that musicians should start appreciating the efforts of DJs by giving them incentives and other gifts.
Meanwhile, Empress Adorye was recently in the news for attributing the collapse of the gospel music industry to the ill-treatment they receive from pastors whenever they visit their churches to perform.
Recounting her experience in an interview with Happy FM's Dr. Cann on ‘Showbiz Xtra’ the artiste said; "I went to perform in a church sometime back where the pastor promised to send me mobile money yet he never did." She narrated.
She however advised her colleague gospel musicians to take their music beyond the church because the church will only kill their dreams.
