Accra June 20, GNA - The Nu Metro Cinema which temporary operated at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) would be closed down on Sunday, June 26 2005.

However, Nu Metro would continue to screen movies for its cinema club members at a smaller location at the Accra Mall. A statement signed by Mr Edward Boateng, Managing Director of Global Media Alliance, explained that its operations at AICC was set up to build the market prior to a firmer long-term commitment at the Accra Mall.

The construction of the Mall, the statement said, would begin in a few weeks. Therefore, "Nu Metro is concentrating its financial resources and energies towards the completion of the Mall, which would have media stores and cinemas".

The Management apologized for the inconvenience and urged those interested in joining the cinema club to contact Mr Albert Mensah and Mr Akwasi Agyemang at the Global Media Alliance Office. The Nu Metro media store kiosks would be relocated to the Aviation Social Centre from July 1, 2005.
