Soul, Afrobeats and Hip Hop musician, Michael Takyi Frimpong popularly known as Lord Paper has revealed that he did not earn a pesewa from his 2016 hit single “Awurama”.

Lord Paper was heavily criticized for the official music video of the “Awurama” song which involved soft porn; a pure display of nudity.

In an interview with Caleb Nii Boye on Live FM, the artiste stated that the only channel he uploaded the video, YouTube where he could earn a little money out of the song, took the video down in a few hours because of its content.

“I didn’t upload Awurama anywhere. It was on YouTube for like 5 hours, then they took it down. I have not uploaded it anywhere so I didn’t get money from it,” he said.

According to the artiste, other people who uploaded his video on porn sites and others are rather making money off the song.

“I hear it’s on other sites, uploaded by other people. They are getting some stuff. But I didn’t get any money,” he lamented.

Talented Lord Paper however added that he has changed his approach to making music and has adopted ‘clean’ ways of entertaining his fans.

“I have stopped nudity; new Lord Paper is more about good songs. I make money, my streaming numbers are crazy now, and I am playing a lot of gigs. From last year September down to December to this year,” he stated.

Lord Paper concluded that he is a passionate, good artiste and has great music to entertain Ghanaians.

“To me it’s more of passion. I believe I have good stuff in there that I need to showcase to Ghanaians and the world but before you conquer the world, you need to conquer where you are first,” he said.
