On Saturday, October 22nd, Ghanaians in Philly and its surrounding states, NJ, NY, DE, MD, VA, witnessed for the first ever; 5 top DJs in the US on the wheels of steel gave an outstanding performance at an outdooring event hosted by Mr. CNN-Mensah of Ghanaweb and his family. Ghanaians in Philadelphia had not seen any performance of this magnitude by these heavyweights.

Special guests in attendance; Daasebre Anane Amponsah, Asantefuohene of New Aork, Abusuapanyin and his PR/Secretary, Mr. Charles Asumeng and Mr & Mrs Owusu-Prempeh of Tinifa Ghana Ltd. The event was hosted by the New York's finest and impressive master of ceremonies who gave KKD and others run for their money; Lincoln, also a reggae artiste( AKA Papa Linc) is the funniest Ghanaian MC in the USA. The audience, both young and old loved his sense of humor and his style of delivery. Even though it rained like cats and dogs for a long haul and prevented many invitees from coming, the event was well attended and impressive. The DJs showed professionalism and indeed showed the audience why they are great in their profession.

Here is something magnificent about the DJs who made history:

DJ Elove - New York's finest of Platinum Touch and the first and only Ghanaian on the label of mainstream DJ/Hip-hop celebrity; Funkmaster Flex in New York. His delivery of old school R&B to suit everybody which has got great reviews in mainstream America was widely received and impressed the audience which made one gentleman made a comment that; he, DJ Nyce and Sam Q are "ruthless and fierce where did they come from?" The older audience was very happy and was on the dance floor non stop with their favorite old school hits. DJ Elove in an exclusive interview with Ghanaweb said that, he was proud to show his signature skills to the Philly audience and to support Mr. CNN and his family. DJ Elove as remembered is the first DJ to perform at a major event in New York in which Mr. CNN was assigned to as a Photo Journalist for the first time. He also helped promote Rhian Benson's first album in America. He has remixes of various Hiplife/Highlife hits in seven volumes.(Impressive remixes volumes 1-7). He and Sammy Tuga are well known for organizing huge events in North America.

DJ Nyce - DJ Nyce is Worcester, MA's hottest and most popular DJ from SkyHi Entertainment. He is widely known for his mixing of R&B beats with hiplife/highlife hits' lyrics to look like a brand new song i.e Daddy Lumba's "Ama's" lyrics over Eminem's "The real slim shady" beat. At the Philly event, DJ Nyce left a lasting mark and showered with praises for his impressively delivery. The audience was hit with various forms of mixes and could not leave the dance floor. He has been described also as ruthless and fierce. DJ Nyce also told Ghanaweb that he could not be happier to come and support Mr. CNN and his family. He and Mr. CNN had known each other for a while (both from Kwahu origin) and recognized what he is doing in the Ghanaian community. The event was also memorable; an opportunity to show the Ghanaian community in Philly his remixes.

DJ Sam Q, Chicago's finest and was one of the DJs to perform at the huge Chicago's Ghanafest. Sam Q is a friend of award-winning sound engineers; JQ and Appiatus, one would guess where he gets his remixes/beats from. He has remixed Obour's "Konkontibaa" with lyrics by a group he is producing in Chicago. Sam Q also told Ghanaweb that he and Mr. CNN had worked together on many events in Chicago and was happy to be part of the historical event. He was proud to be working with heavyweight DJs; Elove, Nyce, Lord Ahimsa and DJ Abankwah.

Lord Ahimsa - Lord Ahimsa is New Jersey's finest Ghanaian DJ, very well known and also the resident DJ of New Jersey's hottest hotspot; Club Kaneshie in Newark, New Jersey. Many of his fans came to the event and were happy to see him as part of the event. His support to the other DJs was greatly appreciated. Lord Ahimsa also told Ghanaweb that he has always been busy performing and this was the first time that he has come to Philly as part of the group who made history. He is a great friend of DJ Elove and both perform together sometime. He and DJ Elove performed at a major event in which Mr. CNN was assigned to as a Photo Journalist for the first time in New Jersey.

DJ Abanquah - DJ Abanquah has gradually worked his way up to become Philly's finest Ghanaian DJ. He welcomed the other DJs to Philly with open arms and helped deliver an impressive performance which made history. DJ Abanquah and Mr. CNN are alumni of Drexel University in Philadelphia.
