Twitter users compared the two kings Otumfuo Osei Tutu II and Ga Mantse, Tackie Teiko Tsuru II
Several tweets with the hashtag “Kumasi vs. Accra”, has landed a trending spot as individuals battle it out over which town has the best of resources.
Some Twitter users in Kumasi did not spare the opportunity to brag about the prominence of their king, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II as compared to Ga chiefs.
“The King of the largest kingdom in Ghana (The Ashanti Kingdom)...piawwwww... he no dey put leaves around his neck and hands oo..ebi gold..sika,” a Twitter user wrote.
“The only chief with a flag in Ghana. Accra people dey use Kontomire leaves,” another wrote.
The Ashantis on Twitter also claimed their kingdom is the second biggest in Africa.
“The Ashanti Kingdom is the 2nd biggest in Africa and you want to disrespect it because the government has developed Accra. Wab)dam.”
Accra tweeps, on the other hand, trolled the ‘Oseikrom’ inhabitants for claiming the best city title when they have no proper resources or infrastructure to their credit.
“If you are the second largest without development, what be the use,”? A twitter user stated
“Masa masa stop lying okay.. wey 2nd biggest in Africa. Don't deceive yourself bro. Make more research,” another tweep wrote.
“Kwasiaa kingdom without walls. You call this kingdom......lazy people,” Someone wrote.
