Don Brainy launches ‘hustle dey pay’ with distribution of nose masks

He is simply a genius. James Teye Tetteh known in showbiz circles as Don Brainy has been described by music connoisseurs as one of Ghana’s finest acts yet to be celebrated.

The upcoming artiste has announced his presence on the Ghanaian music scene with the launch of his hit single titled, ‘Hustle Dey Pay’.

After 17 years of avoiding being in the limelight, Don Brainy, a teacher by profession and a proud native of Asesewa has hearkened to the insistent calls from his numerous fans as he releases his maiden single-track available in both audiomack and acoustic versions.

Professionally, this is his maiden single track even though he has been singing for 17 years now.

“I get my inspiration from things and people around me,” Don Brainy said in a chat.

Asked what new he is bringing to the music scene now that he has decided to come out of his closet, he replied: “I want to be the artiste many would be looking up to.”

Apart from the uniqueness of his lyrics, Don Brainy, a versatile artiste has adopted a blend of both contemporary Western and local music, making it easier for all to appreciate.

Despite initial financial challenges he faced, the talented musician’s single, ‘Hustle Dey Pay’, was finally produced and engineered by Alpha Beatz.

The track which was launched online on Monday, June 1, 2020, and details the artiste’s creative style blended with his versatility is already enjoying encouraging a myriad of thumps up on social media.

To his numerous fans, the ‘Hustle Dey Pay’ hit maker hopes to use good and inspirational music to put Ghana on the world map.

The 32-year-old aside his hobbies of reading and listening to music, believes music happens to be a very fast way of conveying information.

To his fellow musicians, Don Brainy has a piece of advice, “We must focus on composing songs that will transform society.”

He looks up to Obrafour, Jay-Z and Bob Marley as role models who inspire his music career.

Don Brainy is an embodiment of a new wave of an exceptional talent with ‘Hustle Dey Pay’ heavily influenced by afro pop, R&B and rap.

He looks forward to breaking boundaries with his music as he prepares to release more quality songs and videos.

As part of the launching, the artiste together with his team shared face masks to okada riders in Asesewa and gave them some education on Covid-19 and Road safety.

The DCE for Upper Manya Krobo, Felix Nartey Odjao, The District Police Commander and NADMO Coordinator were in attendance to grace the occasion.
