"e-TV’s 'The Awake Show' host not sacked"

Host of one of e-TV’s flagship programmes, ‘The Awake Show,’ Rashida Nasamu, has been announced to make a comeback after she went off the screens for a while.

Her absence on the screens for months raised speculations that she may have been gone for good.

However, the TV station yesterday came to clear the air that she is returning on the season two of the show, adding that it will start rolling from October 6.

She is expected to serve Ghanaians with refreshing and interesting contents covering all aspects of the Ghanaian society.

“The Awake Show, undoubtedly, is one of the most watched morning shows in Ghana. Over the years, we have received some very insightful feedback on the programme which has informed some of the changes that will be seen in the new season,” e-TV Ghana General Manager, Ernest Arday, said.

he further assured, “Having a large number of viewers who are in tune with the programme has also urged to turn it around to incorporate new and exciting contents to meet the needs of our audience.”

The Awake Show airs on e-TV Ghana at 8am to 9:30am from Mondays to Fridays.

The upcoming season will address topics from all aspects in the life of the Ghanaian, including socio-economic issues, entrepreneurial and business secrets as well as some true-life inspirational stories.

There will also be highlights from the entertainment world and tit-bits on ways for viewers to remain constantly refreshed with new ideas to improve their homes, communities and the Ghanaian society as a whole.
