I am not the author of the exposé on Lord Commey

The past few days have been quite tumultuous given the horrible exposé on Lord Commey that made headlines on a number of online portals. Though the contents were extremely grave that need to be looked into, the accused is innocent until proven guilty, and if the author, one Mawuko Quashigah, is able to substantiate his/her allegations, then the full rigours of the law must be applied.

However, suffice it to say that I am not the author of the said article that Lord Commey is accusing me of, together with his cronies. I am horrified at the show of hostility towards me by some goons who seem to speak for him. I have since received death threats and many calls from unknown numbers that have categorically specified that they were going to finish me and my folks.

The more worrying part is really not in the threats per say, but in the connivance of some unscrupulous persons who evidently want to fight Lord Commey’s fight. Nonetheless, various calls by one National Security operative, Francis Opoku (0246424440), asking to meet me for discussions have very ominous vortices blowing the stench of injustice reminiscent of the dark days of John Mahama and his NDC shame.

I state, and wish to reiterate unequivocally, that I am not the author of the said publication that spoke to the salient issues flying about. I have nothing against Lord Commey unless he wants to have something against me, and unless he brings on a banter, I remain a man at peace.

Afterall, I am a committed NPP patriot, and an ardent supporter of President Nana Akufo-Addo. Injustice like that meted out to me under the senseless rule of John Mahama will not and shall not be revisited under this Akufo-Addo Presidency.

My advice to Lord Commey is that he should watch the way he goes about his job. He seems to be applying power more coercively than necessary. To me he is a patriot I respect, but will neither condone his accusations levelled at my person nor the acts of gidigidi (seeming hooliganism) that his boys are exhibiting towards some of my companions.

“LORD COMMEY, imagine me and read my lips: I HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH THAT PUBLICATION NOR WILL I EVER ASSOCIATE MYSELF WITH SAME THAT MAY OR MAY NOT APPEAR IN THE MEDIA IN THE FUTURE. I AM NOT THE ONLY WRITER IN GHANA, I HOPE YOU KNOW THAT. IF I WANT TO TAKE YOU ON, I WILL DO SO WITH MY NAME BOLDLY APPEARING ON ANY ARTICLE THAT I WRITE, THE REPERCUSSIONS OF WHICH WILL EVEN BE FAR WORSE. I FEAR NO MAN BORN OF A WOMAN FOR AS LONG AS I AM RIGHT.

RESPECTFULLY, LET THAT ECHO IN YOUR EARS! Maybe you ought to check and see if there are any skeletons in your wardrobe that you may distance them from you. Know your limits with people and you will sleep well.”

Whatever happens, Lord Commey remains the brother and compatriot I hold in appreciable esteem! With that, I hope he does not give me any reason to change this golden opinion I hold of him!

I wish you well
