The MP for Wenchi East who resigned on Friday as Deputy Minister at the Office of the President, Alhaji Mocta Bamba, has apologised to Ghanaians and the President for the "indiscretion" that caused the Presidency such embarrassment and him and his job.
Speaking exclusively to THE STATESMAN in Accra, the visibly remorseful Bamba had this to say: "This has been a very difficult time for myself, my family, my government and my party. I have apologised to the President for letting him down.
"He gave me such a wonderful opportunity and I'm sorry to have failed. I want to take this opportunity to apologise to Ghanaians, especially my numerous friends in the Moslem Communities who probably saw me as a role model".
