"I DON'T ALWAYS STICK TO THE STATUS QUO, I DEFY IT", NICCOLO MACHIAVELLI
Sometimes I just can't think far for critiques. Those NDC members criticising and trying to compare the NDC government size with that of Nana Addo, I can't think madness for them. Why should they measure Nana Addo's government with an onaapo NDC government standard? A government that was blatantly rejected by the people of Ghana being compared to a government who for the first time presented a budget to Parliament which was even understood by the down trodden kayayei? I can't think far, I can't think madness with all all respect to Kojo Nkansah Lilwin. If the good people of Ghana were happy about their style, would they have thrown them into an onaapo comfortable lead in opposition with 44.4%?
If the NDC do not learn from their mistakes and think Ghanaians are going to buy into their vile propaganda in 2020, then I can assure them that they will be more than disappointed because they are going to see a further decline in their votes by 10% leading them into a more comfortable lead with 33.3% and that will make them cruise into extinction.
Who told them that kayayei who have had some relief after being put up in decent accommodation are going to be perturbed because of the size of government? Who told them that spare parts dealers are going to be perturbed by the size of government after the government has made their business more lucrative? Who told them that parents who have been relieved and students who have enjoyed free shs are going to be perturbed by the size of Nana Addo's government? Who told them that the teeming youth who hitherto Nana Addo's government were unemployed but gained employment because of one district one factory are going to be perturbed by the size of Nana Addo's government?
Who told them that the northern farmers who have had better irrigation system to boost their farming activities are going to be perturbed by the number of ministers and deputies Nana Addo works with? Who told them that the cocoa farmers whose farming activities got a boost under Nana Addo are going to be perturbed about his government size? Who told them that the elites who look at the micro and macro economic indicators are going to be perturbed by his government size if by the end of Nana Addo' s first term he has improved our GDP, reduced interest rate, increased our per capita income, reduced inflation further, stabilized the exchange rate and the Ghana cedi, has not multiplied our public debt stock by more than ten times, our purchasing power has gone up, the NHIS is perfectly working well etc?
Who told them that the entire Ghanaian populace are going to be perturbed by the number of ministers and deputy ministers if by the end of Nana Addo's first term, their lives have been bettered compared to the hell they were subjected to on earth courtesy JM and his onaapo NDC government? I just can't think far for the noise makers who would not be concerned about the end but rather the means.
Nana Addo knows the vision he has for Ghana and he knows how best to take us to the promised land so let's leave him to work in the interest of Mother Ghana. Remember the saying that "You cannot do the same old thing over and over again and expect a different result." A leader should sometimes defy the status quo which will make him unpopular at the initial stages but would lead his people to the expected end. That is exactly what Nana Addo has done. Food for thought.
MAKAAMAKA!!!
