Former Minister of Finance Yaw Osafo Maafo has lauded the exploits of the late Komla Afeke Dumor, stating that though he lived a relatively short life the late British Broadcasting Corporation’s presenter lived a full life.

“He lived a full life in the sense of putting professionalism in his work.”

Mr Osafo-Maafo was speaking to TV3’s Michael Addo on Sunday, February 23, 2014 after a thanksgiving service was held at the Holy Spirit Cathedral in honour of Mr Dumor.

The service wrapped up three days of funeral rites, which began at the same venue.

In his homily, Reverend Father Wisdom Larweh asked members of the congregation to learn from the death of Mr. Dumor to pray for their enemies.

“Do good to those who persecute you,” he preached.

Funeral service for the late BBC Focus on Africa presenter came to a climax on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at the forecourt of the State House, where thousands gathered to bid farewell to him.

“Koma has been given a befitting send-off. He lived for it within a short time but he lived rather a full life,” the former Education and Sports Minister, Mr Osafo-Maafo, added.

Mr Dumor died in London on Saturday, January 18, 2014.
