…as being alleged by the NPP

Credible information that can send the NPP supporters staggering to the bush has it that no voting was conducted by the Electoral Commission (EC) for Ghanaians living abroad in the 2012 Elections. In fact, no Ghanaian living abroad voted in any part of the world except Ghana.

Somebody has lied to the NPP that 247,000 Ghanaians voted in certain parts of the world in the 2012 Elections, thereby boosting the hopes of the NPP that the EC did something uncanny to propel President Mahama to victory in the 2012 Elections.

The allegations were further amplified by the NPP that the supposed 247,000 voters were Ghanaians manning the Ghana Diplomatic Missions across the world. But unbeknown to the NPP, Ghanaians manning the various diplomatic missions who actually registered to vote in the 2012 elections were barely 711.

That is why the lawyers for Nana Akufo-Addo, the past flagbearer of the NPP, Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia, the twice unsuccessful vice presidential candidate and Jake Obetsebi Lamptey, NPP Chair filed an application at the Supreme Court which was granted by a unanimous decision that the EC should provide detailed records of persons abroad who voted in the 2012 elections.

The NPP, thinking that they have hit a jackpot or a trove of information, even went further in demanding details of names and addresses of persons who were registered overseas and the mode and manner in which those persons were registered by the EC. But the NPP folks who are desperately looking for any information at all cost to buttress their bogus claims of electoral fraud, will have the biggest shock of their lives when it finally emerges that not a single Ghanaian voted outside the shores of Ghana during the 2012 elections.

The truth is that Ghanaian Diplomats who wanted to vote in the 2012 Elections but were not in the country at the time of voting were allowed to do that through proxy voting. The proxy voting is simply authorising somebody in Ghana to vote in your stead.

Nana Akufo-Addo and his gang are not being truthful to the NPP supporters who have virtually been left in the dark about the situation on the ground concerning their petition before the Supreme Court on the 2012 Elections.

When the EC finally provides the detailed records of Ghanaians living abroad who actually voted in the 2012 elections, it will horrify the NPP folks who falsely believe the claim by a certain liar at the EC that the EC has a list of 247,000 Ghanaian diplomats who voted across the globe during the 2012 Elections. Did you hear the NPP supporters screaming on top of their voices after they have heard this false information?

The NPP seems to be heading towards a dead end because to date they have not been able to provide any better and several particulars from the 11,916 polling stations to back their bogus claim of electoral racket. So far the NPP have only provided three (3) pink results sheets out of 11,916 to the Supreme Court to buttress their case.

That is why supporters of the NPP who have banked their hopes on the so-called bogus claim that 247,000 people voted outside the country would be deflated when the truth finally emerges. It will certainly be the biggest hoax, and I bet there shall be gnashing of teeth and weeping in the NPP quarters, and certainly nobody at that time can console Akufo-Addo. If you are a full blooded Ghanaian and want this country to move in the right direction, you need to keep talking it over and share this information till you hear from me again!
