It is becoming even more increasingly comical, as the incessantly and indescribably bumbling President John Dramani Mahama shears himself of his northern and Anlo-Ewe tribal cabal at the Flagstaff House, or the Presidency, and tactically surrounds himself with members of the very ethnic-Akan Ghanaians whom he so cavalierly and facilely presumed to disparage and caustically malign throughout his 2012 presidential election campaign and also for most of the past two years.

Now, we learn that Mr. Mahama has fired his fellow northern clansman and partial namesake, Mr. Mahama Ayariga, the notorious money- and property-grabbing former Communications Minister and, lately, Sports Minister and Presidential Spokesman. So much for Election 2016 Campaign Strategizing. We wnat our President to promptly solve our acute energy crisis, which was largely caused by his own party, the so-called Provisional/National Democratic Congress (P/NDC), under Chairman Jerry John Rawlings, the party's founding-father and Advisor Plenipotentiary and Extraordinary.

I also don't know what the grasscutter-toothed Dr. Edward Omane-Boamah eats for breakfast, lunch, brunch or dinner and couldn't care less, sincerely speaking, except that it constitutes the very height of arrogance for the non-practicing trained physician to presume that he could treat the Moderator of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana (PCG), almost as if Prof. Emmanuel Martey were one of his errand boys at the Communications Ministry or even the Flagstaff House ("Rev. Martey Needs To Be Advised - Omane-Boamah" Starrfmonline.com / Ghanaweb.com 3/15/15).

First of all, before the Acting Presidential Spokesman calls for Rt.-Rev. Martey to be advised about the latter's aptly critical pronouncements against the Mahama-led government of the National Democratic Congress, Dr. Omane-Boamah needs to do some serious soul-searching, if, indeed, the Okwawu-'Bomeng native claims to be possessed of both a soul and a conscience. This is the very wet-eared former Atta-Mills go-fer who, together with Mr. Samuel Okudzeto-Ablakwa, brazenly defied Ghana's august Supreme Court in the Obetsebi-Lamptey landed property case. And if such crass and morbid arrogance did not "desecrate" the second-banana cabinet portfolios then held by these rubble-rousing political upstarts, or even the erstwhile Mills-Mahama regime, why would Dr. Omane-Boamah suppose the incontrovertibly righteous criticism of the Mahama/Amissah-Arthur regime by Rev. Martey would "desecrate" the position and status of the Presbyterian Church Moderator and the Christian Council of Ghana's current head and erudite educator and scholar?

Like all the political opportunists and clinical kleptocrats that operate the so-called National Democratic Congress, Dr. Omane-Boamah clearly seems to fully appreciate where his proverbial bread is buttered. Even as I write, in the heated lead-up to Election 2016, the road leading uphill from Nkawkaw to Dr. Omane-Boamah's hometown of Obomeng is being paved by the Mahama government, just in time to advantageously position Dr. Omane-Boamah for the 2016 parliamentary election. And yet, the same government is having such a hard time supplying the entrepreneurial men and women who make life worth living in Ghana with basic industrial-level energy for the economic development of the country!

And when Moderator Martey righteously speaks against such callous and criminally opportunistic approach to national governance, somehow, in the playbook of NDC freeloaders like the Acting Presidential Spokesman, Rt.-Rev. Martey is "desecrating" both his office, as PCG Spiritual Head, and the entire National Presbytery/Synod of his Church! What is incontrovertibly obvious is the fact that the last thing on the mind of President John Dramani Mahama is definitively resolving the country's energy crisis; and this is eerily evidenced by the fact of the half-hearted measures which the former Rawlings Chief Shit-Bomber has, so far, reportedly put in place.

I mean, any Ghanaian leader serious about solving the country's energy crisis would not be traipsing Turkey and the Gulf States renting power-generating barges and fatuously and fetishistically christening them "Osagyefo," "Otumfuo Kantamanto" and other such culturally and politically pandering monarchical titles. Rather, a serious Ghanaian leader would be looking towards countries at the high-end of energy development, such as the United States, Britain and Canada, the very countries whose genius and ingenuity developed the very Arab and Gulf States which Mr. Mahama would have Ghanaians believe offer the best and most cost-effective solutions to the country's chronic and perennial energy shortfalls.

And Rev. Martey is supposed to play His Holiness, the Corruption-Endorsing Chairman of the Christian Council of Ghana? Come on, Dr. Omane-Boamah, acquire yourself some thinking cap!
