Our journey

The journey of a man begins with a milestone. Little drops of water, as they say, make a mighty ocean. The little things that we do may make or unmake our walk in life. The decisions we take today will determine what will become of us tomorrow. There is no rush or hurry in life as some people will opine. Some people rush about their life decision of today forgetting about its repercussions and tend to regret them in the future. Failure is educational and it’s by virtue of you learning from either your own mistakes or the mistakes of you comrades, families and role models. For me, in order for you not to be afflicted by the hullabaloos and repercussions of life decisions, why not learn from the blunders of others? There have always been the cliché that “you learn from your mistakes”. However, others assert that “we rather learn from others mistakes”. To lay emphasis on the second school of thought, I will first commence by saying we learn from ourselves. For instance, when a tod in front falls in a pit of fire, the rest behind it take caution. You see now? Animals even learn to advise themselves on the mistakes of other animals of their kind. Be wise, learn from the blunders of others and make sure you don’t fall prey to this predator “Had I know is always at last”. In our quest to attain successes through our journey in life, there may be innumerable challenges that will obstruct our plight but remember you are not alone; your creator (God or Allah) is always with you, you just got to finish hard and well. Whether you became first or last does not matter in the race of life. What if you rush to get there first but have tears on your face because you couldn’t make the mark or you committed ineffaceable blunders? Who do you blame; yourself or others? As the profound adage purports; “he who laughs last, laughs best”, for me he who takes his time doing something best thus free from “???’s” question marks and quandaries, becomes the one to enjoy the fruit of labour and of positive life decisions. If life should continue to be a race, there will continue to be multifarious ways of finishing up such race; some will crawl, walk, run and some will even jump the race. That notwithstanding, everybody would want to finish up race by every possible means because that’s how the system has made it so. For me, if this should continue like this, my advice to you is that, never give up till you finish up the race. Its pays to be patient yet still keep up your pace for success awaits you in every ways.
