  Men are that they might have joy. Joy is the purpose of our existence.This world is full of knowledge. We enter its portals as babes ready to learn.By the time we are exiting this world we would have accumulated as much knowledge as we had the propensity for. Since we're born imperfect, learning through personal study, by trial and error through our personal experiences,by instructions from more learned and experienced humans including parents and teachers, from the experiences of others before us and contemporaries, we gain knowledge that will determine how much joy we'll have joy in this lifetime .
  We're prone to making mistakes but such is the scheme of our life. Mistakes are permitted .The wise man is the one who is able to avoid repeating mistakes, their own or others'. We cannot be doing the same old things in the same old ways and still expect we're going to get results different from what we have always been getting.In so many ways we do not need to re-invent the wheel.We can bootleg/copy if we desire as others have already done the hardest portion of the work for us.
  As a nation we have made several mistakes but are we going to repeat those mistakes everyday we live? It's time to think and act differently .How do we as individuals and as a nation want our history to be written? Are we going to bequeath a befitting legacy to generations who will come after us? If this is the desire of our hearts then we need to think and re-think and work harder. I believe that we must build upon the legacy bequeathed to us by our progenitors and leave our world a much better place than we met it. We can be inspired in many ways including listening to Tata Dr. Ephraim Amu's composition 'Yen ara asase ni'. This needs to be our national anthem. I dont know what we're waiting for.WE MUST PLAY AND SING IT IN ALL OUR GATHERINGS AND TEACH IT AT ALL LEVELS OF EDUCATION.
