.... FOR REHABILITATION
One of the first mistakes people make when it comes to jail wrongly believes that their actions are not extreme enough to warrant a jail time. Anything comes from reason, nothing comes from nothing. Sending Owadwo Owusu Afriyie to jail will successfully rehabilitate him, thus I strongly plead the judges of the Supreme Court to send Owadwo Owusu Afriyie to prison in order to rehabilitate this moron.
In October last year, Owadwo Owusu Afriyie opened his okra mouth and accused John Mahama of masterminding the rejection of the candidacy of Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings for the presidential election. In my article entitled “Sir John, you are a disgrace to our democracy” which was published online by ghanaweb.comon 19th October 2012, I advised this moron to stop making unfounded statement and that he should not try to make much ado about nothing and should do not try to quench fire where there is no fire to fight!
I counseled him to better mind his business and shout his okra mouth if he had nothing better to say on the media. Furthermore, I questioned what could happen if the people he falsely accuses decide to launch a lawsuit against him for blasphemy. I stated that he would eventually cry foul and call for help. Few months later, this moronic Owadwo Owusu Afriyie met his match and landed himself exactly in the mess I warned him about last year.
Going to jail can be a terrifying thing but if you are on your way to jail and you are not at least a little bit frightened, you probably belong there and he must not worry about it because will help to rehabilitate you to better serve the Ghanaian society as a lawyer and politician. Sir John must find going to jail more comforting to have a few pre-memorized rules tucked away in the going to jail bag of your mind that you can use to make your stay a bit more tolerable.
Some people think of prison as punishment for those who have committed crimes. However, beyond punishment, there are two other, related reasons society puts people in prison. One is that society hopes the mere threat of going to prison will serve as a deterrent to those pondering committing another crime. Another reason is to improve the safety of society by separating from the general populace those who engage in and exhibit abnormal behaviors and Owadwo Owusu Afriyie squarely meets the characteristics of the people who must be jailed.
