  We now know that the carbon dating was performed on a piece added to the original shroud, therefore giving a different time period than that of the actual shroud. Wasted opportunity by scientists.

  Eventhought I am , blood type AB+ I'm skeptical that the shroud of turin has the blood of Jesus, because during Jesus time many men where crucified in Judea, his crucifiction was nothing of the ordinary, so is very unlikely that the shroud is of Jesus and not of some other man. Otherwise yes people of the rennaisance where knowledgeble of photography it was called camara obscuri they were able to create a negative of an image.
