Mahama's request is usually reserved till one has won the election, not made while still campaigning for office. That said, it's wrong to jump into a conclusion that his request symbolizes a person unprepared to assume office or anything of your assertions. Mahama may have jumped the gun, but his concerns about the diabolical actions of this Julor House NPP galamsey government are well-founded. It's no secret that Akufo-Addo and his 40 Thieves are busy selling off state properties to themselves and their crooked cronies, for they've sensed that their boast about breaking the 8 is just as laughable as religious con woman Agradaa being able to double money for gullible idiots. You're totally off the mark with your claim that Mahama's request is a sign of unpreparedness. In Mahama, Ghanaians see an ex-President coming into office at a challenging time to use his past experience to work to get Ghana's sinking ship back afloat.
