  It is good to bring this discussion to the fore. It idea requires the understanding that it will be economically viable as it will replace the high cost of haulage from the coast to the inland cities.
  The current challenge will be the destruction of water bed to make way for big vessels. The change in the designs of bridges should also be considered.
