The whole concept of the repressive ID Card system originated from Napoleon the dictator forced it unto the French and countries that Napoleon invaded and imposed his . undemocratic Napoleonic code. Since you used UK as one of your reference points, It will help if you consider as to why the freedom loving democratic people of the United Kingdom refused to accept the EU imposed ID Cards on them. Do not take my word for it. Just Google these links and it will broaden your own scope of knowledge about the repressive ID Cards.
