  I thought the writer was going to touch on the airbus saga, or the bauxite issue, even when he had been voted out of office and preparing his hand-over notes.
  What the writer described in his article is the mundane things all politicians do whenever there was crises: to take the lesser of two evils!
  Was Mahama being honest when he vehemently critized the introduction of the free SHS, and then decided to claim to have started the free SHS when he realized that his opponents had managed to make it a success, despite the nibbling setbacks?
  Please, please, do not continue to take us all for granted! We have all been here together. We know Mahama. He admitted he cannot think far decisions and thus struggles with decision making when it matters most!
  Don't you think an honest Mahama would have stepped aside for someone else to lead the party, since he knows that even if he wins the contest - which is all too doubtful - four years is rather too short for anybody to make clear headway as president?
  Before we decide to call someone honest or dishonest, let us reflect on our own status so that our readers will grasp in honesty what we proclaim.

  So my friend, what's exactly your point? Remember, the NDC is a political party that will nominate any candidate they deem worthy to lead them, in this case, Mahama. In your argument, you didn't even acknowledge or admit the valid points raised. But let's address your points:
  
  Airbus: What stops the current government from coming after Mahama if they have any evidence suggesting his involvement in any dubious deal regarding the Airbus story?
  
  A good leader doesn't need four years to set the country on the right course. He has been there before, so it will be easier for him to correct his mistakes.
  
  Free SHS: The NDC has never opposed it but only had an issue with the rush to implement it. Nonetheless, the NPP went ahead, but challenges still remain. These issues are what Bawumia's team should be addressing, not just focusing on digitalization.
  
  My personal position on the matter is that the NPP themselves have made Mahama a better alternative because they have done worse than what they used against Mahama to win power. Don't pretend you can't see the writing on the wall. If Bawumia genuinely wants to win power, he should acknowledge the country's challenges and provide concrete solutions rather than just demanding the steering wheel be handed to him. His campaign strategy and approach are appalling and ineffective.

  In any country where the rule of law is paramount, Mahama will be sitting in jail. Was Mahama able to answer the simplest question as to whether he had accepted a bribe before, was he? And you are defending this pathetic toad as honesty?

  No one has said free education is bad or that the underprivileged shouldn't have the opportunity to get educated. Personally, I believe the discussion has moved past implementation. The system is running but facing challenges; how are these being addressed? It's a simple question. This is what Bawumia should be focusing on now. Didn't he make many promises while in opposition? He has failed to deliver on them. What is he going to do differently?
  
  I do not support any form of criminality. My point is that the current government has all the power to hold anyone guilty of a crime accountable. So if Mahama is involved in any dubious deals, what is stopping them from taking action? Ato Forson is facing criminal charges now, so why not Mahama? I'm not speculating but asking straightforward questions.
  
  As citizens, let's examine these issues without emotions and hold these leaders accountable for their words. Considering the constitution and the privileges granted to the presidency, we shouldn't allow politicians to make empty promises just to gain power without holding them accountable. Certainly, JM is not a saint, but the current NPP has made him appear as one

  BTW, Linux, Mahama will never preside over Ghana again, never. Mark my words anywhere. This election, Volta and the North will elect Bawumia to send Mahama to premature political retirement.

What kind of truthful man refuses to credit his former boss of blessed memory, ex-President Mills, and the Economic Advisory Council for their initiatives, or spill the beans that he had nothing to do with feat bequeathed to him from July, 2012?
