JB Danquah who provided the money for Nkrumah ticket was jailed without trial and he died in Nkrumah's prison. When JB died Nkrumah gave the family 24hour to burry and finished his funeral rites. Nkrumah was not a Saint.

But he was awarded an Honorary Doctorate for which people started calling him Dr. The moment the honoris causa doctorate is conferred on someone the institution usually calls the person Doctor. But there are different schools of thought whether the person may be called doctor or use the title only in written form with the honoris causa designation.

What he achieved for the people of Africa is much more valuable than if he had stayed on to obtain the PHD.

How many PHD holders don't we have in Africa, Ghana in particular, and what exactly have they achieved for Ghana except ride on the ignorance of the masses and selfishly grab as much of the country's resources as they can? Who wants to get a PHD and have quack people like the Dr, Dr, Dr So-So-and-So we all know as his colleagues?

Before we start bothering about whether or not Kwame Nkrumah deserved to hold himself as an Osagyefo Dr, let us chase out the fake prophets and Men-of-God who are duping the citizens and bring sanity into our community!

Now, when venal Kufour came to power, with his lack of vison and wisdom, offered Wereko Broobey, CEO job at Nkrumah"s hydro dam built 30 years earlier. To make it worse, he even gave him millions of dollars to buy expensive cars to celebrate Ghana@50. Sensible and conviction politician Nkrumah would have used that sum to establish a solar factory headed by the so-called solar engineer to produce solar panels in Ghana.
To knock a bit of sense into your useless article, Nkrumah did not need PHd to excel. So, you can shove your piffle right up your effing arse,mate!
