Need to review the Act703 sec. 72-73, LI 2177 Reg. 176. and LI 2175 Reg. 13-15. Lands outside the mining lease belong to the landowners and have every right to sell them to developers. but the quarry operators see these lands ...

Need to review the Act703 sec. 72-73, LI 2177 Reg. 176. and LI 2175 Reg. 13-15. Lands outside the mining lease belong to the landowners and have every right to sell them to developers. but the quarry operators see these lands as an extension of the buffer (exclusion) zone to contain the environmental challenges faced by the quarry operations but not these lands are not compensated for.
Until there is an arrangement between the landowners and the quarry operators to cover lands outside the mining lease areas, the encroachments at the quarry site would continue.

This is a real dilemma for the quarry operators.as businesses are seriously impacted negatively and the danger of being asked to relocate or compensate or scale down production which affects investment returns.
