This is the legacy of Akufo-Addo and the NPP government, a government that has been derelict in fighting galamsey for the eight years that it has been squatting at Julor House. Yes, chiefs and kings in Ghana are partially to blame, for they're custodians of the lands but have sat and watched those lands and rivers getting destroyed and have made no attempts to go court to take back their lands. The government bears the greater blame for this wanton destruction of lands and polluting of rivers, for the government has the power and tools to bring galamsey to a halt but has chosen instead to be in bed with galamsey bandits.
