  Traditions must change with hanging times. If you hold on tight with tradition that institution becomes irrelevant and diminishes fast into the archive of history. That is the institution becomes history.
  With the advancement of Communication and the world fully awakened the Asanteman needs to adjust address the shortomings of their own Kings and Chiefs. Why ? Because people have tasted freedom and have broken some shakles of fear making them brave and resilent to face bullies.
  If I was to handle Afia Pokuaa's case, I would have invited her to the palace , expose her to the Ashanti political struture and their values. Give her the right education.
  
  Open up with the outside world and use the main media to advane their course.
  Make changes to the traditions to gain the public support. I think all the chiefs should go bak to shool and study the psychology of human behavior.
  Now Afua has apologised to you and you refused to accept her apology. Now what is the next line of action? I believe it is nothing. She becomes the champion of defiance and other people follow. Eventually, the cascading effect on your might is so huge to erode it and send the mightiness to oblivion.
