Why not? Why is the fake guru economist Aplanke Bawumia brushing aside calls for him to talk about the economy when he's the same Bawumia who assured Ghanaians that he would arrest the cedi and also play economic magic in straightening up Ghana's economic woes. Ghanaians are still suffering economic hardship brought about by Bawumia and his NPP government; it's therefore appropriate to request that Bawumia speak about the economy since he played a role in the mismanagement and collapse of that economy. How can serious flagbearer go around the country entertaining audiences with his steering wheel dancing clown act and ignore to address the most important issue in this election if he really has a message for the people of Ghana? One can understand Aplanke Bawumia's reluctance to address the state of the economy, for is afraid that talking about the economy will cause his NPP's comatose to jump out of its hiding place in his briefcase.

The other time NPP said that Ghana buys wheat from Ukraine which was debunked by Russia. The Lebanese wheat importers in Ghana import wheat from Russia and not Ukraine.
We import finished crude oil products because the private people who are in the oil industry must satisfy the foreigners they took loans from to build their fuel stations.

Digitalization is just to introduce efficiency into the delivery of services, part of the gross domestic product. Therefore, anybody giving a speech about digitalization is, undoubtedly, talking about an economy.
Remember that the GDP (Gross Domestic Product) measures ALL GOODS produced/consumed and SERVICES rendered/utilized in an economy periodically, especially, those with monetary values (priced).
Economic activities aim at satisfying the basic necessities of life (food, clothing and shelter), and wants (mostly affordable luxury goods) of a country.
FYI (for your information), before you say something imprudent to expose yourself to ridicule, just google about economic activities.
As you go to the polling booth on December 7, remember Ghana. Eschew self-centeredness. Vote for what is good for Ghana.
As a Ghanaian, what scares me most is our inability to use our abundant human and natural resources to industrialize.
While we are good at making babies, the gold etc., do not GROW to replenish themselves. As a result, a day will come, in future, when we will not be able to build gold mines. Posterity will lay blame on us.
I just read the BOG's MPC report on Ghana delivered by Dr. Addison.
Improved balances of trade and payment were due to gold and crude oil exports, foreign remittances, and a little over 3 months of import bills coverage.
From 1957 t0 2024, is this the story we want to hear about Ghana, a land flowing with milk and honey?
