  Free SHS will die the very day politicians decide to target the programme to those in need. We have to learn from history. Cocoa scholarship largely went to the rich in the cities not the poor Cocoa farmers. I will rather advocate for allocation of certain number of public secondary schools to charge fees which proceeds can be use to support the free SHS. The average ghanaian is selfish. Stop pretending we are trustworthy

  I hope you are not suggesting or supporting the view of the newly-elected vice-president that certain "prestigious" schools should be excluded from free education system, thus encouraging discrimination based on socio-economic status. This is contrary to the intended purpose of NPP's free SHS education.

  Sorry, my response should not have been directed to Nana Yaw's comment. It is a response to the author of the article. Socio-economic discrimination and racism that characterized the cocoa scholarship scheme and other schemes must be avoided. NPP's education scheme was for the welfare and benefit of everybody.
