  John Mahama in opposition was urging Ghanaian youth to never stop engaging in illegal mining so, what can he tell the same youth now, stop or what? Galamsey gained international attention under NDC government headed by Mills with Mahama as vice so, what is he going to do about galamsey?
  
  These long articles or whatever pleading with the man under whose nose galamsey attracted international attention, is nothing, yes absolutely nothing because he is complicit. As we speak, there are some MPs on the side of NDC who won elections from areas who have sworn never to stop galamsey so, what can Mahama do about that?

  It is a fact that many members of previous governments have looked the other way or even benefited from the menace of galamsey. It will take a long time for our water bodies to be made safe again for human and agricultural purposes. However, let us not be pessimistic but embrace actions of the current government while pointing out where they go wrong. Galamsey will not be defeated until policies are implemented to provide the youth with gainful employment.
  Government must set up an institution that supports the youth in carrying out galamsey in an environmentally sustainable manner. This is not rocket science.
  The days of the Wontumis must not come back.

  YES!! I have always maintained that the so called Galamsey Operators should be Classified as TERRORISTS, charged as such when arrested. They should be handed PUBLIC HANGING if found guilty.
