  I disagree with the writer. I went to a law school in the US and one of the rules is students should be professionally dressed to attend class.
  We al did and I never saw anybody reveal their tattoos let alone a nose rin ...

  You equating freedom to doing whatever you want in life without repercussions? If I am an employer and you come to my office with nose rings and anklets braces , a lot of tattoos , I promise you will not be getting the job.
  
  Professionalism goes with resposibilities and ethical behavior.
  I do agree with the school, they should have withdrawn them right away.
  It is in their handbook.
